Welcome
WCGwiki is a project started by a small group of dedicated World Community Grid members in July, 2006. The project's mission is:
- spread the word about World Community Grid
- supplement information available at the official WCG website
- assist new WCG members from around the world in as many languages as possible
Pages here will distill information from the official WCG forums and present that information in clear, concise articles. We will also attempt to "demystify" some of the help pages at the official WCG site by explaining concepts and terms in a manner easy for beginners to understand. Finally, we will present the latest news and topics that have not found their way onto the official WCG pages.

Please register for our Spread World Community Grid Program. David Autumns has been working hard on this for a long time. Let's all get behind him and spread the word. By clicking and registering you get a link to the official WCG banner. You can cut and paste the link into your emails, personal web pages, etc. and help spread the word. That's all you have to do to participate. Have a look at the complete statistics.
WCGwiki is a work in progess. We hope others will contribute articles, art, thoughts and ideas. We are considering moving to a full wiki style, eventually, with a look and feel very similar to Wikipedia and the same mechanisms for contributing material.
WCGwiki is not affiliated with World Community Grid (WCG) or Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing (BOINC). Opinions offered here are opinions of various contributing authors not the opinions of WCG or BOINC.
